The Paladin Kodiak 6-Foot Box Blade is a rugged earthmoving and grading implement. Mounted securely to our tractor’s rear 3-point hitch, it features a maximum-volume box design wrapped in thick steel endplates to tear up hard terrain, level surfaces, and reshape raw land.
Engineered Strengths & Specifications
- 72-Inch (6-Foot) Working Width: Perfectly proportioned to match the outer tire width of our 4066R tractor, allowing our operator to grade smooth paths without leaving tire compaction markers behind.
- Multi-Position Adjustable Scarifier Shanks: Equipped with 5 heavy-duty ripper shanks featuring heat-treated, replaceable steel teeth. Shanks can be pinned low to aggressively fracture rock-hard soil or pinned high out of the way for pure leveling work.
- Dual Reversible Cutting Edges: Features high-tensile, bolt-on steel cutting blades facing both front and rear. This allows our operator to slice and scoop dirt when driving forward, or push and smooth material flat when operating the tractor in reverse.

- Gravel Driveway & Private Road Restoration: Uses the heavy scarifiers to shatter rough washboards and deep potholes, then uses the rear cutting edges to redistribute gravel evenly and crown roads for proper water drainage.
- Building Pad & Shed Foundation Grading: Completely scrapes away high dirt mounds and transfers the material into low pockets, leaving a perfectly flat, compacted subgrade surface ready for concrete pours, gravel pads, or construction framing.
- Hunting Camp & Site Leveling: Smooths out rough, uneven fields, camp yards, or equipment parking bays, making them safe and easy to navigate for trucks, trailers, and side-by-sides.
- Terracing & Drainage Trenching: Angled scraping cuts uniform, shallow drainage swales or structural water run-offs along property boundaries to prevent erosion and standing water puddles.
- New Lawn Finishing: Rips up compact clay layers to loosen the ground before back-dragging the smooth edge to create a velvety, rock-free surface ready for hydroseeding or sod placement.
Mandatory Land Preparation & Access Requirements
To achieve a perfectly flat, clean grade and protect our equipment from catastrophic underground damage, the following site guidelines must be met before grading begins:
- Underground Utility Clearance (Mandatory): Because the scarifier shanks slice deep into the subgrade, the work zone must be cleared by your local 811 “Call Before You Dig” service at least 72 hours prior to our arrival. We cannot grade over unmarked zones where shallow power, water, gas, or fiber optic lines may rest.
- Surface Obstacle Removal: The customer must walk the property to pick up and clear out all large loose boulders, heavy logs, old fencing wire, concrete chunks, and t-posts that would catch and bend the steel ripper shanks.
- Moisture Content Window: The grading zone must be dry to slightly damp. We cannot perform grading work in deep, saturated mud or soup-like clay, as the wet material will simply stick inside the box wrapper and create an uneven, smeared surface.
Operational Limitations
- Not a Deep Trencher: While it easily cuts shallow drainage swales and levels wide pads, it is not an excavator or a backhoe. It cannot dig deep utility trenches, vertical post holes, or sub-surface ponds.
- Solid Bedrock Restrictions: The scarifiers fracture hard-packed dirt, shale, and gravel beds easily, but they cannot slice through or break apart solid, continuous sheets of underground granite or bedrock ledge.
